Title: nefmoto doesnt see vagcom cable, vcds is connecting fine tho Post by: bjaroch on May 12, 2017, 11:33:28 AM So my tuner just sent me over my first .bin file to flash to the car but i cant get nefmoto to see the vagcom cable, ive done everything the nefmoto beginner guide said to do and vcds lite is working fine with the same cable, same ecu ect... im doing this on a 02 s4 in the car, not bench.

Edit: After re-reading (sorry I was fixated on how your sentence started with so) you are using VCDS lite, which only requires a serial device (com port) to connect. Nef requires an FTDI based cable. SO your cable probably won't work. Dumb mode? Title: Re: nefmoto doesnt see vagcom cable, vcds is connecting fine tho Post by: bjaroch on May 18, 2017, 01:29:42 PM I have the correct cable now, I went through the complete setup. it works on vcds lite, me7logger and it connected the first try with nefmoto flasher but got stuck before 1% even came up and then it wouldn't even connect every other try so for now I went back to my buddies rosstech cable to get the ecu flashed properly but I need to get my ebay ftdi cable working
