Title: flashing different file, same ECU number
Post by: bl33su on June 01, 2017, 09:43:11 PM
Hey Guys,

wondering why when i flash a different file with same ECU number the new file won't let me start the car... when i scan with vagcom... its got the immobilizer error..

but i thought the immo details were in a different chip inside the ecu which sync's with the cluster..

or is there immo data inside the ecu file aswell?

It would help if we knew which vehicle/ecu you were referring to.

ecu # 06A906032HN

both files are same ecu number but the new file has some sort of immobilizer stopping the car from starting.

Which file are you trying to flash onto it?  Either it isn't the correct file or you are trying to flash a file with custom coding on it to prevent this sort of ad-hoc flashing by random people. I.e. Rev0/APR/Eurodyne etc.
