Title: Re: Ross tech cable won't connect to nefmoto Post by: bobthablder on June 04, 2017, 06:48:01 PM Is it a real ross tech cable or a knockoff I guess you would say knock off.. It comes from a company that deals with them but yet has Ross tech on the sticker label... And pulls up as Ross tech on nefmoto devices... Title: Re: Ross tech cable won't connect to nefmoto Post by: nyet on June 04, 2017, 06:50:09 PM Won't work if it is CH340 based (many knockoffs are). Please read the stickies.

I've had issues with just using the genuine ross-tech cable before any other ftdi based on a given pc. It won't install the ftdi driver correctly/at all, and then you'll get the "can't open fdti driver" error. The driver executable installer might work it these cases, but what I do that always works for me is just plug in a generic ftdi cable, which will install the driver, and then the ross tech cable will begin working with applications like nefmoto/me7logger. |
