I have a DBox ECU, where obviously a new 29F800 with a tune was soldered in. I was able to read the ECU via MPPS and Galletto Bootmode. When I try to write a stock MBox file on it, Galletto1260 and V54 showing writing error at 0%. MPPS and Kess are also not able to write. If so, nothing on the flash can prevent boot mode flashing from working, unless somebody physically lifted the write pin. Title: Re: DBox read-only? Could the EEPROM prevent bootmode flashing? @marty, I tried bootmode on my desk. Reading works, writing not... Title: Re: DBox read-only? Galletto says "Erasing...OK" and then "Writing...Error". Reading is still possible, so nothing is erased... The Chip is not on a riser, but directly soldered. |
