so my friend has had a dial-a-map from a local garage and it's not right. so it drives ok and there's no black smoke until the launch control comes in once the engine is hot. I also think black smoke from the tail pipe isn't abnormal when combustion is outside of the cylinder.

Yeah i knew raw fuel came out black but I've never seen a petrol that black. Adam- do you think it's just the off set that need adjusting? The "Modify" link just blends into the "Reply with Quote" link so it's easy to pass over it and go straight to the inline edit button.
