Title: Porsche 997T Series 1 6SPD Australian Delivered File.
Post by: J.Laborde on October 11, 2017, 08:46:53 AM
Hello All,

attached are two dumps from the Porsche 997 Turbo Series 1 [Manual] ECU.
It is an Aust. compliant car and I'd like someone to help explain why there are two files an exRom and an iRom.

Kind Regards.

Because it is an ST10F276 based ECU and the ST10 processor contains flash memory that contains code as well as that stored in the external flash.  On some software versions there are RSA elements that need to be corrected in the ST10 when calibration data in the external flash is changed.
