Title: Confused with 1.8t vacuum lines. Post by: ibizaCUPRA18t on January 05, 2018, 06:54:43 AM I am really confused with this. Its an AGU with dbw conversion.
The n75 is on the TIP and I dont know if its correctly connected. Also I have no idea where these two 4mm metal pipes go. They come from n249 and hang towards facing the front. What should they be connected to? I have no idea what to do. Here are some pics. Title: Re: Confused with 1.8t vacuum lines. Post by: jogtx16v on January 05, 2018, 07:17:20 AM Hello, from what I see, DV vacuum is wrong.
The Diverter valve vacuum should go to 4mm metal pipe and to n249. and for the hose you have in hand, I think it goes to vacuum reservoir. check n75 too.... pics are from aww awp but probably very similar, but not 100% same to agu. The Diverter valve vacuum should go to 4mm metal pipe and to n249. and for the hose you have in hand, I think it goes in rubber inlet pipe or in it plug at the side of valve cover. check n75 too.... pics are from aww awp but probably very similar, but not 100% same to agu. What would I have to do if I wanted to get rid of n249? Connect the line straight to inlet manifold instead? Someone wrote that the dv hose goes to waste gate. I'm now confused for real. Title: Re: Confused with 1.8t vacuum lines. Post by: KasperH on January 05, 2018, 01:36:34 PM DV hose normally goes to N249.
And if you delete N249, DV should be connected to manifold. And on your picture, the end connected from N75->DV should go N75->wastegate The other connection should be N75->turbo outlet. Alright then. Thanks Kasper. Title: Re: Confused with 1.8t vacuum lines. Post by: KasperH on January 06, 2018, 04:51:45 AM Sorry I got it backwards. (Post edited)
As the picture posted before shows; Long leg->TIP Medium leg->Wastegate Short leg->Turbo outlet And when I say turbo outlet, I mean as close to the outlet of the turbo as possible. Or in compressor housing outlet itself depending on setup. |
