Title: ME7Find Post by: HelperD on January 07, 2018, 02:10:23 PM Hi guys,
I have been working on this project for a little while now. This is a small part of something a lot bigger in the making but figured I would share the alpha test with you all. I have tried to encompass as many me7xx ecus as possible in this tool however I know for a fact most N/A ecus will not be supported/may list wrong information. Either way I present to you my creation, ME7Find! It is nowhere near complete so I do expect bugs of course. If any of you would like to offer some input on how the tool could be better I am all ears :) As far as functionality: 1. Run the program 2. Drag and drop your file into the program 3. It will spit out a file path string...you are to remove the "" on either end of the string. 4. Hit Enter :) As of right now just 5 possible supported maps. LDRXN LDRXNZK TVUB LAMFA KFMIOP This will print out results to C:\Users\Public\Results.txt if you need it. If you all could let me know how it works for you and if it falls short on finding maps in your file. The door is always open and you're more than welcome to send me your STOCK file so I can further support it in the future. In a later version I would introduce info about each map such as offsets/axis location/potentially a little blurb about the map etc. Anyways... I hope you all enjoy and your New Years is starting off well for you. Title: Re: ME7Find Post by: prj on January 08, 2018, 07:18:40 AM There is already a tool that does this and which is open source.
Title: Re: ME7Find Post by: HelperD on January 08, 2018, 08:41:34 AM I did not realize this! I'll go hunting :)
I guess if it's been done before there's no need to keep working on it LOL. Sorry about that! Title: Re: ME7Find Post by: Willpullen on January 08, 2018, 03:54:17 PM wow great job HelperD :o it works really well!
Title: Re: ME7Find Post by: Pasteurised on January 09, 2018, 12:47:52 PM Works great! Keep it going!

Thanks! Title: Re: ME7Find Post by: nyet on October 21, 2018, 04:49:36 PM Hey man, could you upload this again, the link isnt working. Thanks! Just use prj's tool. The OP is long gone, yet more useless abandonware with no source code. Title: Re: ME7Find Post by: Pasteurised on October 22, 2018, 02:53:42 PM That's unfortunate, this tool was great at finding LDRXN in 1024kb files
Title: Re: ME7Find Post by: nyet on October 22, 2018, 06:38:24 PM prj's tool works fine.
Title: Re: ME7Find Post by: miigotu on October 31, 2018, 07:26:23 AM Every project should be on git (github or gitlab or bitbucket etc)
This way it never gets lost when hosts go down, and we can fork and improve the code. Title: Re: ME7Find Post by: HelperD on November 23, 2018, 07:58:31 PM Just use prj's tool. I am not long gone, as it was mentioned PRJ's tool worked well so that was the end of that :) Title: Re: ME7Find Post by: miigotu on November 24, 2018, 09:06:45 PM I am not long gone, as it was mentioned PRJ's tool worked well so that was the end of that :) While I am glad you are still here, you might be gone in 5 or 10 years when people are still flashing and tuning these cars. If you put it on github then people can contribute to it and improve it, and it will always be available. If the issue of putting it on github is that you arent very experienced with github, I would be glad to upload it and maintain it. You would just need to get me any changes you make so I can keep the source up to date. If the issue is that you want to keep it proprietary, I'd like to ask why? You have more chance with a donation link on git than anything to make a profit off of it. |
