Title: Re: Lambda component protection in 1K0907115B 391667 Post by: Kacza on March 17, 2018, 12:21:18 AM What do you mean the second stage? For everyone it can mean something else. Title: Re: Lambda component protection in 1K0907115B 391667 Post by: vwaudiguy on March 17, 2018, 09:41:08 PM Define "stage 1" vs "stage 2" Stage 1 = Stock hardware tune Stage 2 = Bolt-ons but stock turbo and injector I used to be super anal about not classifying the stages, and learned it's easier to just let it go. Title: Re: Lambda component protection in 1K0907115B 391667 Post by: birchbark506 on March 18, 2018, 04:37:00 AM Vwaudiguy thank you for that I'm still pretty new to this stuff
So yes stage 2 bolts on and is stage 2+ just a more fuel and boost is that correct? I have 3" catless downpipe fmic vis motorsport hpfp interals axle back exhaust and a cold and intake. Title: Re: Lambda component protection in 1K0907115B 391667 Post by: nubcake on March 18, 2018, 11:32:25 AM This whole "stage" stuff is largely subjective.
Here it's usually: Stage 1: all the hardware is stock, essentially just a tune. Stage 2: emissions delete, stronger tune. Stage 2+: bolt-ons (DP/IC/WMI/whatever), still stock turbo. This is sometimes just included in 2. Essentially, stage 2 == "stock turbo, but de-cat + maybe other hardware mods". Stage 3: big turbo with accompanying fueling mods, etc. Title: Re: Lambda component protection in 1K0907115B 391667 Post by: birchbark506 on March 18, 2018, 12:08:41 PM i have everything other then the WMI installed, i am looking to get a bit more power out of my current file,
