Title: Running more lean to improve fuel-enconomy on low load Post by: jochen_145 on May 07, 2018, 03:35:09 AM Hey,
petrol engine running of AFR = 1 on low and part load because of catalyst (NOx emissions etc.). But not looking a any emission values, best for fuel economy, engine could run at AFR = 1,08 .. 1,1, as long as EGT is not too high. In low and part load, I think EGT and other temperatures are not a problem. How to treak the AIR to 1,1 instate of 1,0 ? It is just a chance of KFLBTS-map? IMO not, because KFLBTS is only active tabgm_w, tkatm_w, tikatm_w or twistm_w over there limits. So, what map I am missing to set AIR = 1,1 in low or part-load ? Thanks for hints and advice Title: Re: Running more lean to improve fuel-enconomy on low load Post by: adam- on May 07, 2018, 03:47:04 AM https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=nefmoto+lambda+lean&rlz=1C1DIMB_enGB785GB785&oq=nefmoto+lambda+lean&aqs=chrome..69i57.4871j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
Covered ALL the time. Title: Re: Running more lean to improve fuel-enconomy on low load Post by: prj on May 07, 2018, 04:11:53 AM Uhm, EGT is highest at the stoichiometry point...

Quote It is a constant in the code, it is simply a value of 1 and not intended to be calibrated So, to run lean, I need to teak the calculation in SC :( That´s not, what I am looking for. I hoped that there is somehting like a targe map, where I can lean up the AFR depending on load, not all time as long as some protections will enricht again.. .. need to rethink my idea ??? |
