Title: LTFT question
Post by: birchbark506 on May 26, 2018, 03:32:13 AM
I replaced my lpfp and my g247 sensor on fuel rain and now my mvb  ltft block 2 is sitting at -9.4 and fuel pump sounds a bit different,  is there away to correct it by a map? Put old g247 and ltft sits around +5.5

I see you keep creating thread after thread after thread, but none of them contain any context whatsoever (not even car, ECU etc).

I don't understand what you expect the results to be.

sorry the car is 2006 mk5 jetta  BPY 2.0 tfsi med 9.1 1k0907115B
mods are
vis stage 1 hpfp
K&N typhoon CAI
3" catless down pipe
2.5" axle back

I replace my LPFP and the g247 on the fuel rail with the newest one and then my trim goes to -9.4 and with the old g247 it goes to around +5.5

It's been mentioned on more than one occasion that your choice of intake is most likely messing with your trims. Most everything you change in the fuel system has the potential to affect your trims in some way. Pick a hardware combo that fits your needs, and leave it that way. Then put a stock intake, and fix everything. Then put your tyf00n intake back on, and fix it again.

What rail valve did you replace it with? The K03 cars use a 140bar rail pressure sensor, the K04 cars use a 200bar. If you've got a 200bar sensor, you'll need to modify KLRAIL with the new scaling for voltage vs pressure.

Hey gman the dealer gave me the orange body for the rail sensor the part number is I'm sure is 06j 906 051 d

Vwaudiguy I do remeber someone saying it's my CAI do I scale the MAF map or would I use the injector map I tried and added 5% across the injectors correction map and it took it down some but if that the proper way of doing it?

here is a log with the new lpfp and new g247 rail sensor lambda control is in the minus and rail Pressure never meets request rail Pressure and the hpfp sounds like its just metal tapping maybe due to lack of fuel

The pump won't tap due to lack of fuel. It'll tap due to lack of cam follower, or fucked/worn follower and/or lobe. Your actual fuel pressure is scarily low.

yes see how low it goes with the new g247, and ill attach log with just new lpfp and old g247 the cam follower is brand new, and the cam lobs are in good shape and in spec, had my buddy who works for local vw give that all a look over when i did my cam chain and tensor and my timing belt and water pump and sump pick up pipe.

added 2 logs of new lpfp and old g247

Here is the part.number on the new g247 06J906051D from what I see it's a 200 bar sensor I think my stock is 140 bar, what map was it I need to change the volts for it again? Was it KLRAIL for some reason I cant find it in my A2L file 7115H to cross over to 7115B could someone help me with address please?

What would I change the KPRAIL address to to make the 200 bar g247 sensor to work?

Look it up in a stock K04 file.

I can say as much as it is linear and 4,5v = 20MPa.

I dont have any k04 files I got s6 v10 and 1.8t files and 2.0 tfsi files for k04, would you be able to share one please?

thank you for the help i see my A2L file dose not have that map for some reason here is my ORI if someone can help me find it please

i end up finding it dose this address look correct

1D7236 for KLPRAIL shows 0 mpa to 14MPa
map says this so i think i got it correct
Characteristic curve for converting rail pressure sensor voltage into rail pressure

would i copy the k04 map in to my k03 file says
k04 is 0.00000   10.00000   20.00000
k03 is 0.00000   7.00000   14.00000

Thank you since its brand new I'm going to swap it and fix that map up and see how the ltft is after that.

I rescaled the g247, and now I'm getting a p0191 dtc around 8.6% load at 160-170km saying volts from sensor are 14.7

That's battery voltage. Reference sensor voltages should be 0-5v. You've got some dodgy wiring somewhere.

I edited the fueling map and I end up getting the dtc to go away now I'm back to logging, thank you guys.
