Title: Rate a "pro" tune...?
Post by: ibizaCUPRA18t on May 27, 2018, 02:25:27 PM
So I've learned a lot myself from this forum and a guy from Germany who apparently tunes a lot and is a "pro" offered to make me a map. Checked out his page he does bt projects and it looks decent...

My car: Ibiza Cupra R K03s with some free-flowing mods. I have been getting Negative Boost Deviation code ever since I flashed his tune...

But... I look at the map he sent me and what do I see? Basically the complete OPPOSITE this forum suggests... LDRXN is 199% @ 3000rpm and holds that until redline, KFLDIMX is 95% throughout the 1000mbar row, axes on KFZW are not changed neither is KFMIOP or KFMIRL. I talk back to him about this and he says "Nobody changes axis, just you." Also when I tell him that LDRXN is too high, he says "it doesn't matter how much you request." Wow, I also saw a lot of maps that he changed that don't really need changing for a Stage 1.

Will post bin file with xdf (not fully defined) but have a more complete version at work.

6k0 906 032 file

Why bother? He's clearly a hack. And if you don't have permission to post this file...

I also notice there are no logs included.

I doubt I'll leave this post up for long.

He doesn't mind... im just surprised why such a knowledgable  tuner who has done big projects and is well known in germany would increase maps like that and max out ldrxn...

I will... but his map shows better log results. Even if I do it the sane correct way and he just maxes everything out lol...

I dont see that maxing IMX makes sense unless you are using it and redoing DRL to do precontrol as described here
