Title: Re: P1639 Post by: atdub on July 11, 2018, 06:27:28 PM Sorry bud I thought the code might had spoke for itself. I was just wondering if anybody dealt with it before and how 1 got around it but Thanks for your help
Title: Re: P1639 Post by: adam- on July 12, 2018, 01:42:17 AM The code does speak for itself.
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/18047/P1639/005689 PS; you're still lazy. Title: Re: P1639 Post by: nyet on July 12, 2018, 01:01:14 PM Why would you want to get around a problem that should be fixed outright?
Secondly why would you not put the meaning of the code in the topic of your message? Seriously rude. Title: Re: P1639 Post by: atdub on July 12, 2018, 07:43:57 PM So am I lazy because I wasn't descriptive enough in the post or is it cause u guys are assuming I didn't do my research?
Nyet..I didn't post a description beause I actually wanted to hear from someone who has been in the situation. hope I'm not in trouble or anything lol Title: Re: P1639 Post by: adam- on July 13, 2018, 12:04:26 AM It's a hardware fault. Pedal, wiring.
Title: Re: P1639 Post by: atdub on July 13, 2018, 09:09:35 AM Thank you Adam thats more so the confirmation I was looking for because my laptop ate asphalt around the sametime so I couldnt do too much investagaing.
Title: Re: P1639 Post by: nyet on July 13, 2018, 09:16:58 AM Why is the topic still vague? "P1639" is a useless topic.
Title: Re: P1639 Post by: atdub on July 13, 2018, 12:19:29 PM So I have a fault code 18047/P1639/005689 Accelerator Position Sensor 1/2 (G79/G185) Implausible Signal kick off on me. Only when I fully depress the pedal will the code show up and ecs light will come on and put me in limp mode. i thought it might had something to do with my tune but had no way of telling due to a broken laptop so that's when I quickly (my apologies) posted up on here which I rarly do out of fustration.
So far ive checked wiring and had a look at the a.p.p signal with a Matco scan tool and notice I have no signal only when I floor the pedal w/ the engine off. That leads me to believe it is in fact a hardware problem Title: Re: P1639 Post by: nyet on July 13, 2018, 12:51:06 PM So edit the OP accordingly, and change the topic. Thanks.
Title: Re: P1639/005689 Accelerator Position Sensor Post by: atdub on July 22, 2018, 01:26:39 PM If anybody's reading..I got my new (used, $40 rule out) acc pedal in the mail and ran thru the install. Cleard codes, fired it up, let it settle, few rev right b4 WOT and sure enough same results as b4 and a weird feeling pedal. Now i'm staring at the rain and wondering is my tune out of whack? but can't tell because I'm still wait for the mail man w/ my hard drive or can I start pointing fingers @ the o2s1 cuz I have been sending a few hot things passed her????
The only thing I can do at this moment is re-check wires and maybe even swap the 1 out of my a6wag donar. Idk speak if uve been there or have a valued suggestion Title: Re: P1639/005689 Accelerator Position Sensor Post by: atdub on July 23, 2018, 03:40:48 PM Just got home from work 2 hard drive sittn on my desk...
