I have a spare 8D0907551C for my S4 (original is also a 8D0907551C). Was able to get the file off of it using a bench setup and galetto (was already tuned, nefmoto didn't work). When following the tuning guide I can't find KFLBTS in TunerPro using the latest definition file I found here for the 8D0907551C. There are probably others ways to achieve the same but it would be nice if the definitions matched the guide (the learning curve is already steep enough as it is :D). Is it possible to replace the AM29F400BB flash with an AM29F800BB and flash an M-Box file? Title: Re: 8D0907551C - Replace 512K flash with 1M Post by: dal on August 21, 2018, 03:19:27 AM I think no. I have here an 512 and 1024kb ECU's, and there are some IC's and circuit drivers that the 1024kb has and the 512kb not. So its not a question of only replacing the nand.

Am I right that all the 1M ecu's (ME7.1 S4 and A6) are flashable with the M-Box file? I read it's difficult to change the coding from auto to manual, so probably best to start with a manual box? So bought a 4Z7907551M off ebay. 6sp ecu's seem to be pricey. Thank you Yes, but flash 8D0907551D into the 4B0907551M if you want the ECU to work with your car without any modifications. Or if you want it is possible to double stack the 551C file, and that will work as well (although that probably defeats the purpose). |
