Title: ME 7.1.1 vs ME 7.5 Software/Hardware? Post by: Goose on August 25, 2018, 02:22:59 PM I’m changing ECMs on my girlfriends’ Beetle. 2004 BEV 2.0L 8v. The ECM that came out is an ME7.5. The ECM we have is out of a 2005 BEV 2.0L 8v but is 7.1.1
Currently the Orignal (ME 7.5) has Catalyst Diagnosis disabled, Can I flash the ME7.5 software to the ME7.1.1? The research I’ve done says that both are WideBand ECMs. The difference is the ME7.1.1 came out of a car with the 5-Speed TipTronic 09G Automatic and the orignal is a basic 4-Speed 01M Automatic. I’m not concerned with IMMO at this time, I have software to transfer it, but I don’t know about the ME 7.5 vs ME 7.1.1. Thanks. Title: Re: ME 7.1.1 vs ME 7.5 Software/Hardware?
