Title: 2.0 TFSI MED9.1 Manual to DSL ECU calibration
Post by: artec12 on January 22, 2019, 04:32:27 AM
Hello,

I have completed the dsg dq250 swap in my audi s3 8p tfsi and coded all the modules except for the engine. Can someone help with changing the file from manual to auto so that the ecu will broadcast the proper can stream for the gearbox?

Thanks in advance!

Long coding byte 4 change it from 18 to 1C. Use VCDS or ODIS

Is security access needed?

No. If your ECU is using 8P0907115H, it won't work though.

You'll need 8P0907115AP. I've ran Golf ED30 in an A3 with success too so 1K0907115T should work fine.

So what's the process? Buy a 8P0907115AP ecu and bdm write the file from my 8P0907115H? Or just buy a 8P0907115AP and immo off?

Would it be possible to do a full bin write from a 8P0907115AP  in my 8P0907115H?

Yes of course it's possible. Flash 115AP SGO to your 115H...

Was your A3 AWD or FWD? Will there be any issue if I write 1K0907115T FWD file to an AWD car?

115AP is UDS. The rest of the car isn't. I am afraid there will be communication issues with the can gateway, abs etc.

My A3 was Quattro. I had zero issues.

8P does not have UDS, what are you on about?

just a small question , can we change long coding directly from cars eeprom ? i mean i have seen engine long coding in the epprom in 2 areas so assume with changing 18 to 1C and make checksum will work ?
Never try it ...just thinking loud .....

If the ecu can't set a particular coding, it is unlikely it will support a coding it can't accept if somebody forced it by hand instead. I could be wrong, of course.

In this case: what tool do you use for this update?

The tool I would use is not available.

But from the stuff you can get - ODIS Engineering, CMDFlash.

Does it work with other tools (AVDI, VCP ....) too?

IIRC: In theory all these tools don`t write IMMO-area, right?

So why it is not possible to copy IMMO data e.g. from file to 115H => 115AP and write via BDM?

One possible solution: buy VAS 5054 clone from AliExpress and use Odis.
