Title: Linear temp gauge (mk4 cluster)
Post by: mushtafa on January 26, 2019, 11:18:14 AM
I want to make the temp gauge more accurate.

Looking at the original file, the temp values at $2D4 where all a bit random. I've now changed them to whole numbers and changed the gauge position to suit.

If my maths are right, the gauge should read true to the actual temperature.

Looking at the little graph I produced using the gauge position, it should be pretty accurate.

Can anyone confirm whether changing these temp numbers will cause issue or not? I assume not, but wanted to check.

I took the risk and wrote the changes to the file.

It works perfectly.

Thanks for the update. Always wondered what it would be like to have the gauge work that way. How much does it sweep once the engine reaches operating temp?

Nice work. How did you calculate what the values should be? What does the original graph look like?
