Title: KFZWOP, Very Simple Question Post by: untilnow on January 30, 2019, 03:11:12 PM If KFZWOP is the optimal ignition angle - if the engine wasn't knock limited (at lambda 1) - they WHY is KFZW not showing the same values in non knock limited areas?
Some values are even advanced beyond 'optimal'!?! Title: Re: KFZWOP, Very Simple Question Post by: Tezotto01 on January 31, 2019, 04:08:13 AM even if KFZW is greater than KFZWOP the output value will never be greater than KFZWOP

:D :D ;D Title: Re: KFZWOP, Very Simple Question Post by: nyet on January 31, 2019, 12:36:14 PM even if KFZW is greater than KFZWOP the output value will never be greater than KFZWOP I'm actually not sure this is true; afaik the purpose of KFZWOP is to give the torque monitor a reference, where actual torque is based (in part) on how far actual timing is from optimal timing. I could be wrong on this. Title: Re: KFZWOP, Very Simple Question Post by: prj on February 01, 2019, 01:21:57 AM even if KFZW is greater than KFZWOP the output value will never be greater than KFZWOP Bullshit.KFZWOP only affects ignition efficiency/torque calculation. If KFZW is equal or greater to KFZWOP then ignition efficiency is 100%, as simple as that. KFZWOP has zero effect on actual ignition angle. Title: Re: KFZWOP, Very Simple Question Post by: nyet on February 01, 2019, 01:42:44 AM If KFZW is equal or greater to KFZWOP then ignition efficiency is 100%, as simple as that. I thought ignition efficiency depends on the difference between actual timing and KFZWOP (positive or negative) I could be wrong, of course. What if you disable torque monitoring intervention via cwmdapp. KFZW = actual igntion angle or how does it work then ? Title: Re: KFZWOP, Very Simple Question Post by: Kompiesto on February 01, 2019, 06:03:26 AM cwmdapp? Seriously?
Edit properly KFMIRL & KFMIOP for no torque intervention. For more info look to s4wiki. KFZWOP is used for torque calculation. KFZWOP is used for torque calculation. Its a NA ecu soft, there arent any turbo related maps... cwmdapp or maf underscale is the 2 options to account for the "surplus" air from turboing. That is a totally different question. there are many, many reasons why actual might not match KFZW exactly, none of which have anything to do with KFZWOP, which (as others have said), is only used to calculate actual torque based on actual timing. Yeap, understood. Cheers |
