Title: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: Cult on February 06, 2019, 07:38:33 AM Hello there i am in the process af swapping my me7.1.1 til me7.5 to go wideband og enable flashing by the obd port.
i have a few spare 4B0906018DH ecu´s and a good file from my buddy´s Audi s3 BAM with 8N0906018CF ecu, I flashed the EEPORM with removed immo over with argdub tool with no problems. but when i flash the ecu with the 8N0906018CF file i gets bricked :( after a bit of searching i stumbled across this http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=658.0 Is there any where i can see what ecu the 8N0906018CF will cross flash on to? My A3 used to have an ECU like this.
In 2017 I made the wideband conversion, now I run an wideband ME7.5.5 032LP ECU with 032HP cross-flashed. Can you open ECU and post a picture? Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: Blazius on February 06, 2019, 04:08:33 PM First ME7.5 on B5 facelift DBW,non VVT, with ICM and narowaband. You own a S3 APY with ME7.5 Narrow Band 512kb ecu and you will switch over to wideband 1024kb. okay makes sense. You cant use this passat ecus. Go and buy BAM/AMK or something like this. You can also use AUM ...032HJ. Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: BlackT on February 08, 2019, 12:21:14 AM If I want to go from Me7.5 narowband to me 7.5 wideband. Except few wires i need to recconect and instal wideband. What else schould I do?
Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: aef on February 08, 2019, 12:44:10 AM There are differences in wiring on some ecus. Car will not start. You will have to adapt immo/change login or immo off the new ecu.
You then will have to kill EGT Sensor, N249 and VVT because your APY does not have this. MAF can be different too. Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: BlackT on February 08, 2019, 01:26:17 AM Wiring is not problem for me.
In ECU beside IMMO off... I need in ESKONF kill rear O2,N249,and VVT... (ignition maps)KFZW and KFZW2 make indentical. So is that all? Where to kill EGT? Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: fknbrkn on February 08, 2019, 02:00:01 AM Just immo things and probably codeout vvt

(https://i.postimg.cc/DzY7kJ3p/20190209-184145.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/d7dbG01G) And throotle is working, so the problem is somewhere in AYP pinout... Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: BlackT on February 11, 2019, 01:33:27 PM i have managed to get it done, car is working fine. I removed few unnecessary wires, and pin 121 is now getting supply from ignition(15). That is solution for this DTC
Code: 17925/P1517/005399: Power Supply Relay for ECU (J271 or J363): Electrical Malfunction I coded out VVT via ESKONF(but there is no need to do it beacuse car can ride normal, even when that DTC is there) and put wideband O2 , and basically that is all If anybody have question fell free to ask ;) Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: bororobbo on February 19, 2019, 11:35:25 AM Did you remove pin 62 that operates the fans on narrowband as it's the egt signal on wide band? I only know this from doing conversion myself on my old A3 1.8t quattro after converting to k04 and wideband. Now I'm wideband s3 (gave up on a3's body work. Picked up this 2001 s3 for 500 quid fully working minus a few issues and swapped hardware over) I done the full lot apart from adding egt. I added vvt + wideband 02 and maf. It was really easy to do tbh. Coding out shit off the ecu was the hardest part which again is still fairly easy.

Still i am searching how to remove rear O2 and code out VVT. At the end conversation is not that hard, the MAFs are same, acceletor pedal, coils. Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: bororobbo on February 19, 2019, 03:49:51 PM Just use the search function in this forum it's all here bro. Coding out egt and rear O2 while setting readiness for emissions it's fairly simple to do.

And at the end, the car is no longer with me. But I am doing AEB to wideband, than i will get the chance to code out all that stuff Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: bororobbo on February 23, 2019, 11:59:18 AM Hopefully it all goes well for you bro.Best of luck on your project. Plenty of people here that can help if you get stuck.

I instaled AWT instalation and ECU (DBW) on AEB (DBC) The car is starting and work's fine. But immediately I get DTC camshaft position sensor G40 P0341 I instaled 4 gap rotor, and try few camshaft position sensors. But DTC come back. I will check wires and with osciloscope signal. But before that, did I forget something? Coils, throtle body,O2,MAF,MAP all is instaled from AWP engine. I didn't connect SAI,EVAP,N80 but I think that doesnt't have any influence on DTC I get with camshaft Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: bororobbo on February 23, 2019, 01:26:32 PM Check the air gap is in spec for the sensor

Code: Address 01: Engine Labels: 06B-906-018-AWT.lbl Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: bororobbo on February 24, 2019, 03:47:32 AM The 0.4 mm difference in height is massive for the air gap for it to work

I will see tomorow how it drives Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: bororobbo on February 24, 2019, 04:14:49 AM Happy days. Hopefully it drives ok

Etka shows that AWT use different rotor http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/catalog/vw/markt/RDW/modell/PA/year/1997/drive_standart/221/hg_ug/905/subcategory/905050/part_id/3689801/lang/e#sec_10 http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/catalog/vw/markt/RDW/modell/PA/year/2001/drive_standart/226/hg_ug/905/subcategory/905050/part_id/3684077/lang/e#sec_10 but who knows, maybe it will work Title: Re: me7.1.1 to me7.5 in audi s3 APY Post by: BlackT on February 25, 2019, 10:30:35 AM I will start a new thread, beacuse this will be a long trip :-\

I was driving that car every day and I didn't noticed anything wierd. I can't belive that. Only the MPG was a little bit higher, and the 0-100 from 6.5s to about 7s. The car was driven like a race car. But didn't make any damage, still I can't belive :o
