Title: New here trying to absorb it all Post by: BenjaminR on February 21, 2012, 07:35:29 PM Hey all I have been lurking around here for a little over a month. I feel I have read just about everything I can keep in my head at one time.
I have all the software minus the check code one but am waiting until my cable arrives and I can figure out how to log before I start screwing around with anything. Anywho I am working with a 2003 allroad with the 2.7 6mt. I havent seen any files for these yet. My biggest question is there anyone in the Chicago area (i live down state) that has a good grasp on this that I could come spend an afternoon or something with to show me how the F to actually do all this junk/ get me up and running. I am a hands on learner and can read all day and not get it. Not being a programer this is a lot of info to absorb at once. Im trying to grasp using all these different programs and add on programs together and which to use for each thing. My end goal is to go stage 3 on E85 with my car but I would like to start playing around so I have a grasp of what I am doing before I get there. Also a question on wide band 02 sensors. Can we just plug them in and go or what is the deal with that? While I do not fully understand all of this yet i would like to say thank you to those who have put a lot of time into this stuff. I realize a lot of good info has been shared here and I feel this is an amazing movement. I just hope to get to a point where I can help and contribute. So I have all my software and cable but cant get the G damn thing to work for the life of me or some of the fellas that have attempted to help me on audizine. Is there any issues with running 64bit vista? I could get 409 VCDS lite to open and run but could never get it to recognized the cable. Tried switching to 211 (IIRC, could be the wrong number) VCDS lite and I couldnt even get it to run on my computer. If anyone cares to help a fella out my email is Benjaminrhayes86@gmail.com Any help is appreciated. |
