Title: A4 B6 1.8T SKC Retrieval
Post by: claytech on February 19, 2019, 09:53:16 AM
Needing to retrieve the SKC for immobilizer adaptation on my 2005 A4 B6 1.8T.  Do I need to select a memory layout to do a full read?  If so, which one do I choose.

Thanks,

use the immo tool that is posted on this forum or vag eeprom programmer, vag k +commander 2.5 etc to read the eeprom not the flash
if you have the cable that works with nefmoto then it should work with those programs no problem

Thanks. Will give that a shot. Is there any harm doing a read with those tools?  I’ve read a few posts where guys do a read, and then for some reason corrupts the file, and car won’t start. Just don’t want to screw up the ECU
