Title: ECU Definition request, please Post by: lkomnino on March 20, 2019, 05:05:18 AM Noob here, following guides, have got full read of my ECU A6 C5 AJK with Tip FAW (5A)
Have also downloaded the stock AJK bin from here, and TunerPro, which is why i'm here: Could someone send me a def file? Doesn't specify what other infor to add but ECU: 4B0907551G Bin attached. I suspect it is tweeked, but hope not. Me7Checked. Thanks Title: Re: ECU Definition request, please Post by: lkomnino on March 20, 2019, 11:15:34 AM Just used HxD to compare to a stock file and they are identical.
This confuses me as my car is now running teribbly and I had thought I must have changed some setting by accident. Got a xtool vag401, and after testing solenoids (actuator test evap etc including injectors and cam adjusters) it sounds awful. Popped off cam covers and all seems okay, but need to get VCDs to check MVB 90 in engine electrics. Told it could be flooding and the waste spark causing issues, but suspect stuck VVT adjusters. please advise if you have experienced this before. Title: Re: ECU Definition request, please Post by: nyet on March 20, 2019, 01:59:57 PM pointless to guess w/o posting DTCs and logs.
Also, there are many other well defined 551 files that are cross flashable with your ecu. Title: Re: ECU Definition request, please Post by: lkomnino on March 21, 2019, 01:58:55 AM No engine DTCs. And new to logging, shall read guides....
Thanks Sent from my G3121 using Tapatalk --edit-- Ok, in Nefmoto program, have read that some people choose to monitor variables which are not helpful in diagnosing. On KWP2000 logging tab can't see any options for me to fiddle with, (probably a good thing considering my present situation!!). --edit-- need definition file for logging... took me a while to figure that one out.. I have A6 C5 2.7T with 4B0907551G, can I use these defs: http://files.s4wiki.com/defs/ just the 8D0907551G. got *.csv & *.xdf Can't find guide for logging. logging needs definitions *.xml or *.ecu & read variables *.xml --edit-- http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php/topic,837.0.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olAYz0JCHgA Title: Re: ECU Definition request, please Post by: nyet on March 21, 2019, 09:41:45 AM 1) next time you post, obey forum rules

Turns out the 'actuator test' must have found a sticky cam adjuster or two, causing the timing chain to skip....... causing the timing to be out.....then the beautiful marriage between valves and pistons.... YEAY!! On the plus side, this was what I was repairing it from anyway. Bought for £200 with cam belt failure. Lets hope, as it was just a cranking whack, that i don't need to pul the engine again. Live and learn, check movement of cam adjusters and don't test them if it's running well.
