Title: Volvo EDC16C31 Immo delete ? Post by: Turbofun on April 05, 2019, 01:48:01 PM Hey
I have some issues with immo blocking start on a 2008 V70 2.4D EDC16C31 0281012765 Is there anyway to remove the immo code from the 95160 eeprom inside ecu? I read it out with K-TAG and attached here. My EcuVoniX said it's the wrong file size (4kb) but it's correctly read. Title: Re: Volvo EDC16C31 Immo delete ? Volvo uses another approach for injection release then Bosch offers to buy when using Bosch Software Functions. The only way would be patching the code in the processor, but nobody has done or offers this in public as far as i know. Title: Re: Volvo EDC16C31 Immo delete ? Turns out it's a 95640 chip, are you 100% sure it's not doable? I had no luck with this file either though :) Title: Re: Volvo EDC16C31 Immo delete ? Post by: daniel2345 on April 09, 2019, 09:48:47 AM I am.
What is called "immo off via Eeprom" is actually coding the ECU as development ECU. If it has Bosch standard Sia (immo) software modules equipped, the software would care about that. That is the case for VAG cars and others. But for Volvo all these modules are replaced by Volvo software modules. They don't care about development mode and only care about correct challenge and response play with CEM via CAN. Side Note: if CEM does not receive correct ID from Key or valid answer from ECU, it will cut power to injectors and pump valves. So an immo offed ECU will not help you ;) |
