Post by: sn00k on February 28, 2012, 07:11:07 AM
What would need to be changed to be able to remove this one without throwing DTCs?

my german is bad, but im thinking maps concerning "Schubumluftventil-Endstufe" has something to do with this one?

So here are all the codes i have aquired:
17608 - boost pressure control vavle (N249) mechanical malfunction
P1200 - 35-00 - -
16795 - secondary air injection system incorrect flow detected
P0411 - 35-00 - -
16825 - evap. emission system incorrect purge flow
P0441 - 35-00 - -
17840 - Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve (N112): Open Circuit
P1432 - 35-00 - -
17695 - Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Open Circuit
P1287 - 35-00 - -
17834 - EVAP Purge Valve (N80): Open Circuit
P1426 - 35-00 - -

thats great =)

it seems the P1287 and P1200 are the ones im after here.. and also need to find the codeword for the N249 to turn it off like in the pre 2000 cars which doesnt have the N249.

in my bin file P1200 is between CLALDRA and CLALKVDK
P0411 is between CLASLPE and CLASLV
P1432 - CLASLVE
P1287 - CLAVAR
P1426- CLATEVE

i think is CLALDUV: Fehlerklasse: Schubumluftventil-Endstufe try and report

A couple of options.

1) Change the fault class like mentioned above so if diagnosis of N249 fails it does not throw DTC.
2) Change conditions needed to start diagnosis to unreachable values i.e DLDUVES, TMDLDUV, TMFDUV, TMMZUV
    so diagnosis never starts.

These will help the malfunction DTC but not the open circuit DTC. Thus far I haven't found a way to prevent ECU from checking for open circuit. DTC can be surpressed BUT more than likely interfere with fuel trims adaptation.

Maybe something in DEKON function and ESKONF

Try changing byte3 of ESKONF from 00 00 00 00 to 00 00 11 00
or from 0 to 12 dec

function DMDSTP defines what errors interfere with fuel adaptation.
