Title: 1.8t 20V (BEX) stalls after K04-064 fitting
Post by: marchewa on May 05, 2019, 03:55:09 AM
Hi,

I have strange problem with engine which was previously tuned on hybrid turbo (basen od stock K03 from BEX engine). After fitting K04-064 engine stalls while cruising right after declutching when rpms falls. No leaks at all (smoke tested). I have had similar cases in past but adjusting TVUB or KFMRES / FPLMRM / KFPLMR was the solution. In that case nothing helps. Some hints?

Also- I get pressure drop error (P1297) after each short ride (I had to disable diagnosis to be able to make logs). Could someone explain how ecu determines this error? MSDK and MLHFM variance? As I mentioned- no leaks at all, DV valve verified.

Thanks

Post your log. What MAF are you using, i had that problem(2-3 times only) when MAF was not scaled correctly

There is S3 maf housing and MLHFM transfered from S3 file.

It is running on bosch EV14 (0280158117) and I think it can be reason of problem. When declutched engine is falling from, lets say, 2000 rpm or above mixture is getting to rich awhile near idle speed. Also throttle is closing too much (sometimes to 0%) for awhile. When normally idling - STFT's are oscilating near 0, also LTFT is less than 0,5%

Yesterday tried to modify KFVAKL map as it was mentioned in EV14 thread but still no success.

Have you scaled the injectors properly, I have tuned a friends 1.8 bex running a hybrid k04 (dynoed around 290-300hp at the crank). and he has never had this issue.
