Title: 1.8t 518AK - Post cat 02 sensor readiness Post by: gin+ on May 07, 2019, 12:04:59 PM My post cat 02 sensor went bad and I thought it would be a good time to attempt a code out considering I'm cat-less. I believe I've followed all the wiki steps, everything appears fine (no faults) and logs seem normal. My issue is readiness won't set. What I haven't been able to try is the VCDS readiness wizard as I'm using VCDS lite and that feature is not available. I'm not sure if that would help or not. I see some guys talking about ASM patches, but that's over my head, for now at least. Being that I'd rather not buy a replacement sensor I might be open to some paid assistance from a reputable forum member.

I have reorganized the s4wiki some Title: Re: 1.8t 518AK - Post cat 02 sensor readiness Post by: gin+ on May 08, 2019, 10:30:23 AM I certainly appreciate any input.
This is where I'm at, sensor is currently disconnected. CDKAT - 0 CDHSH - 0 CDHSHE - 0 CDLATV - 0 CDLASH - 0 CDLSH - 0 CWKONLS - 1 CLRSHK - 5 ESKONF Byte 3 F0 Title: Re: 1.8t 518AK - Post cat 02 sensor readiness Post by: nyet on May 08, 2019, 01:16:38 PM You can try CWKONABG.0 = 0..
also double check your ESKONF (I do not know off hand if that is correct for AK, maybe others can chime in). Title: Re: 1.8t 518AK - Post cat 02 sensor readiness Post by: gin+ on May 09, 2019, 07:54:24 AM You can try CWKONABG.0 = 0.. also double check your ESKONF (I do not know off hand if that is correct for AK, maybe others can chime in). I already changed CWKONABG, I forgot to include it in my previous post :-[. I'm pretty sure ESK is correct as I was struggling with it at first. I learned there are separate addresses for what I believe would be for manual or auto trans. Perhaps I need to figure out the location of SRYLS? Readiness byte? Title: Re: 1.8t 518AK - Post cat 02 sensor readiness Post by: nyet on May 09, 2019, 08:38:09 AM Possibly, but I think something else is wrong, that list should have worked.

this list should set readiness so ++ to check definition vcds group 36 should be 0.0v test ok same with 46 for a cat Title: Re: 1.8t 518AK - Post cat 02 sensor readiness Post by: gin+ on May 09, 2019, 05:38:03 PM Thanks guys. I'll re-group and see if I can't find something that I may have overlooked.
Title: Re: 1.8t 518AK - Post cat 02 sensor readiness Post by: nyet on May 09, 2019, 07:24:23 PM What specifically isn't passing readiness? If it is post cat, it shouldn't even try to pass readiness, it should come back unsupported (and readiness)
Title: Re: 1.8t 518AK - Post cat 02 sensor readiness Post by: gin+ on May 10, 2019, 08:10:12 PM Oxygen sensors and secondary air injection show no love. I made a revision so there's a chance it hasn't had enough running time but I'm guessing I've driven it enough. I have mslub and mslbas zero'd out and n112 doesn't open after CWKONABG.0 = 0.
Title: Re: 1.8t 518AK - Post cat 02 sensor readiness Post by: gin+ on May 11, 2019, 05:59:40 PM I cleared CDSLS and CDLSV but of course catalyst, oxygen sensors, and SAI show unsupported with my generic scan tool. Not sure if that'll be an issue with NYS inspection or not ???
Title: Re: 1.8t 518AK - Post cat 02 sensor readiness Post by: gin+ on May 23, 2019, 02:09:30 PM I was able to pass ;D

Not sure if that'll be an issue with NYS inspection or not ??? So in my 518ak 003 file ive attempted to set cdsls to 0 and it causes the car to not start a second time. What addresses do you have for cdsls and lsv? |
