Title: Moates road runner: Name of Connectors?
Post by: nbdiy on May 14, 2019, 12:44:47 AM
Hi, can someone here tell me the name of the 44-pin connectors from moates road runner? Or are these there own build?
I would like to build some own cables

If someone knows technical name of the emulation headers I would be thankful too, as buying in the US is always a long-time process for me

Harwin M50 series
You want 2 cables mated together between Moates and ECU to locate the pins correctly. Buy a couple of crimpconnectors too. You can easily create the byteswap yourself. Only one connector is needed but you might fail on first attempt.
The PSOP44 header is most certainly a custom part that you still need to buy from Moates.

Thanks, I didnt found harwin with 44-pins, but this helped me finding them: I found IDC 1,27mm 2x22 connectors, which will be pretty much the right ones

I have already cables from moates, but as they are twisted, I always have to connect two of them, which is some kind of annoying, and they sometimes make contact-problems

So I wanted to build one myself and few more for other purposes

The headers are available in 6 packs:
http://www.logicalsys.com/painfo-vpasp-vb.asp?adapter=pa-sof-d630-44/6
https://www.adapt-plus.com/products_html/PA-SOF-D630-44-6.html

Might as well buy them from Moates.

This helps a lot

I bought from moates few more in past their pricing is absolutley okay, but up to two months for shipping is the problem, last time it took 7 weeks...
