Title: Bench harness setup help Post by: atdub on May 15, 2019, 06:20:11 PM So I had a bench setup made from BOTH ecu connectors and a obd harness acouple years ago that worked flawlessly. Now I cant find it anywhere so I pulled another set recently to make up another one.
The problem im having now is I cant remember which pin on the smaller ecu connector (#82-121) gets power as that was the solution to the same problem I had b4 when it worked? anybody know? I read thru the sticky on bench flashing. Just cant remember what thread tip me off to that pin back then when it worked Title: Re: Bench harness setup help Post by: CanML on May 15, 2019, 06:32:34 PM Pin 121 on the small connector.
Title: Re: Bench harness setup help Post by: atdub on May 15, 2019, 06:42:38 PM That’s what I was thinking too, it’s just non existent on the harness I pulled from an a6 that threw me off but I’ll try that and re pin it somehow if it works. Thanks
Title: Re: Bench harness setup help Post by: CanML on May 15, 2019, 07:13:55 PM I have a note that powering pin 121 is required for 1.8T ME7.5 ECUs (worked for me on an AWP ECU). I don’t think I ever tried to connect without powering 121.
I can read from my AFP ME7.1 ECUs with/without powering 121. Current draw was the same for both cases. |
