Title: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: speedforever on May 17, 2019, 08:03:54 AM Hi boys, I often follow your discussions from which I learned a great deal. But I tried in every way to solve a problem on my car but I couldn't.
My car has a full stock k04 turbine, Pipercross intake and direct exhaust. My car goes well enough but the moment I put it in the Boost I realized that it closes the throttle valve that drops to 37% of opening, only to gradually reopen when the turbo pressure drops. Would any of you know how to give me some advice to eliminate this limitation? I am attaching my map, I hope someone can help me and I hope to learn new things from you. Thank you so much. i thought that someone of you can help me for solution or at least can explain to me how to get there. thanks Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! From what I know the specific load is calculated: Specific Load * 10 + 300= then 290 * 10 +300=3200 - 1000 atm=2200 mbar I have 2200 mbar of boost pressure! But my throttle valve cut! I swear I am going to fucking delete that from the S4wiki if you all refuse to read the rest of the section. It says right there "Keep in mind, this is a rough approximation. It can be off by as much as 30% or more." Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: speedforever on May 18, 2019, 03:08:51 AM Have you actually read ANYTHING here? yes I have read a lot of your discussions, the problem is this, I am Italian and I always have to read them through a translator so often I can't decipher well what you write. However my K04 makes a peak of 2.2 bar really in boost. As soon as I can if you want to publish a video. I just want to learn something more, also because most of what I know I learned thanks to you. I am sorry that I am being treated so sincerely. However last night I downloaded the program that you provide for the log, but I don't know if it can work with the interface I have. If you want higher power levels and lower shaft speeds you need a bigger turbo. Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: nyet on May 18, 2019, 10:38:23 AM However my K04 makes a peak of 2.2 bar really in boost. As soon as I can if you want to publish a video. 2.2 absolute or 3.2 absolute? You may want to check that compressor map. And if you really need to run 3.2 bar you had probably better do the 5120 hack. Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! if I'm not mistaken the compressor map is the KFLDHBN right? Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: fknbrkn on May 18, 2019, 12:39:24 PM Yaaay

No, the compressor map for K04s. 3200? Seriously? Are you sure about your numbers? Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: IamwhoIam on May 18, 2019, 03:03:39 PM So you are totally clueless, need a map pack or a damos for your file, and yet *somehow*, you've managed to modify A TON of things in that file, that would be unpossible to modify properly without a damos. So what the hell is going on here? what aren't you telling us?
Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: speedforever on May 19, 2019, 01:52:00 AM absolutely guys I won't hide anything from you. Then I'll explain more clearly how things are. I have the damos for my file and I made all the changes doing tests on proofs and reading your forums. But now I have reached this point, the throttle valve chokes me when the car overboosts at 2200 mbar and I can't solve the problem in any way

How would he use ME7L on a MED17.5 ECU? Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: speedforever on May 20, 2019, 05:16:42 AM hi guys, then I proceeded to make a small log, unfortunately for now I can not do anything else because here in my part it rains a lot and therefore it is dangerous. As you can see the boost pressure is not the law, but it stops at 2550 mbar, but from the log you can see how the butterfly closes and then reopen above 5000 rpm. I'm trying them all, now I'm sending you another map with which I logged. I thought I had found a torque limiter at the end of the map I tried to put it to the maximum but instead nothing does the same problem.
Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: speedforever on May 20, 2019, 06:55:26 AM then guys I would like to recalculate KFMIRL for good.
I read that to calculate it you have to do MASS MESSAGE / MASSA STANDARD. The problem from what we see in Log is at 3000 rpm, at 3000 rpm it ingests about 240 g / s of air, so I do this operation [(240 * 60/3000 * 0.5)] / (cc 496 x 0.00122521) The problem is that I get a wrong value, where am I wrong given that I get out 16? Can you help me? Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: nyet on May 20, 2019, 08:20:46 AM jesus

Post by: speedforever on May 22, 2019, 04:33:54 PM Hi guys, I thought maybe my problem could be too much difference from the requested boost pressure and the actual boost pressure. In order to have a different boost request would it be right to intervene on the KFPED?
Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: nyet on May 22, 2019, 04:37:27 PM Hi guys, I thought maybe my problem could be too much difference from the requested boost pressure and the actual boost pressure. In order to have a different boost request would it be right to intervene on the KFPED? What. The. FUCK? How on earth did you get that impression. The s4wiki outlines EXACTLY what goes into requested boost. Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: speedforever on May 22, 2019, 05:00:44 PM I'm sorry, I don't understand why you always have to respond in this rude way. I'm asking questions with education. I have read dozens of times s4wiki on the tuning page, but I have not understood how to outline the request for the boost, and based on what is precisely calculated. There are dozens of acronyms and with the translator everything becomes more difficult. Can you explain to me roughly?
Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: fknbrkn on May 22, 2019, 07:31:31 PM requested boost based on req load
if you read s4wiki/nef and asking how to req boost with kfped then its just not your thing rly save your time (and nyets mental health) Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: speedforever on May 24, 2019, 04:50:25 AM requested boost based on req load if you read s4wiki/nef and asking how to req boost with kfped then its just not your thing rly save your time (and nyets mental health) then I understood correctly, in practice the more specific load is requested and the more there is a request for the turbo. In fact, in the previous map I had tried to increase the KFMIRL values, reporting everything even on KFMIOP but to no avail, in practice the car always requires the same boost pressure. In addition to these two maps should I intervene on another to increase specific load? Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! The one Nyet posted ( ldrxn and HBN ) is the one that most prefer people I guess. Go read s4wiki again. Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: speedforever on May 24, 2019, 04:31:54 PM yes guys I use google for translations because I'm Italian. However, I have already used KFLDHBK and LDRXN on my map. In particular, the first is set at maximum while the second is a limiter on a specific load, which in any case is higher even than it should, but the request is always low.
Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: nyet on May 24, 2019, 05:20:30 PM Unfortunately, since ME7L can't be used to log your ECU, I'm not sure what else might be limited your load. Maybe others can comment.

Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: speedforever on May 29, 2019, 03:54:04 PM I was reading Hack 5120 where in practice on several maps the factor by 2 had to be divided,
Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: nyet on May 29, 2019, 05:29:02 PM There is ZERO reason for you to request more than 2550 bar.
Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost! Post by: speedforever on May 30, 2019, 03:22:49 AM There is ZERO reason for you to request more than 2550 bar. Why? I have 3000 mbar of absolute boost, but by request I don't exceed 2550 mbar, couldn't this be the problem for which the butterfly valve closes? Title: Re: help me big problem, throttle cut on boost!
