Title: R32 Turbo Mk5 Me 7.1.1 Throttleplate Problem at full load
Post by: mbkr89 on May 22, 2019, 12:07:49 AM
I have build bub engine r32 with turbo.
Everything work fine but some times after switch in high rep or go in boost fast at higher rpm throttleplate will stop at 29-30%.
Normaly i have allways 100% but sometimes it doesn't go over this 30%.
Is there a tuning protection on this ecu or i will hit some limiter ?

is it dsg ? and yes there is a load limiter.... but it does not mean that this is cutting you off.
You need to log the car.

no is not dsg.
The only way to log is with vcds because st10 ecu.
what is name if the load limiter ?
i have log all i found the last week and from 10 times drive on wot 8 times 100% and 2 times 30% on throttle  ???

Please tell me more about the load limiter

it actually depends on your ecu sw version..Need original file...

Both mpc and flash with boot mode.

BUB engine

As i wrote before you need to post both mpc and flash..not only flash file...according to your sw version you have a hard coded load limit.

If You can not do ASM edit of load limit You can do simple modify HFM MAF linearization to lower load, where turbo boosting and add fuel in FKKVS table to be equal to air what ecu dont see.

This is interesting... more info about fixes in ecu for R32 turbo project ? Can we start a new topic?

Most of those stuff have been already said or done...

if its anything like 1.8 na, it does have requested load limit, that i havent been able to figure out, but if you use CMWDAPP set 2 ( dbw dbc mode) and get your torque tables rights, and disable torque intervention 2 , you can boost file as fueling goes with actual load and there is no actual load limit :)

It's much easier to patch rlsol_w to go over 100% IMHO

Well depends, if you turn dbc mode on, you need to basically redo all the map but anyway if you get the torque setup right with no cwmdapp and load patch, you need to redo all the maps anyway again.

How would one find the correct adresses for rlssol caps or to "patch" it, there is not much info on this and ofcourse its cause no nobody wants to "give" away their secrets - i guess.

Because alot of persons had same situation and found solutions by self without any help and know how much work sometimes is needed. We can give you only right road. You can pay for it and don't understand what You do. Alot of persons on this forum can do patch for you but is needed alot of another map scaling for new load.

Fun fact I actually did find the one of the load hard limits exclusive to NA, but when patched DBW throttle monitoring error came up and didnt let me start the car :) I just went back to dbc mode for now.

Anyway if OP wants to retain 1;1 functionality then he needs to underscale maf or patch req load.

Either it was the wrong bytes or your cksum just failed...

Prolly wrong bytes as in  there are multiple caps , and havent found them all.

I dont know what ecu You have, but if is st10 You must do checksum of flash and mcu or switch off checksum in mcu/flash.

send me your file ill find the other one. you need to set both to a matching value

you have my file many times :D Btw, i found some more caps with the help of rogerious and IDA, was about to test them but for now undergoing some hardware changes so cant :P

Thanks!
