Title: Noob Flashing Question
Post by: SlashProm on June 10, 2019, 05:59:21 AM
Hi guys, just want to confirm.

When reading an ECU to get the file. This is only a "read" correct? My car will still have it's base file and start and drive after reading, before writing a new map.

Thank you. I've read the ecu and I have it open in tunerpro as we speak. I also downloaded the .xdf but for some reason none of the maps look right. I might need to open a new topic on this but thought I might get an answer on here and save some space.

if the xdf you downloaded doesnt match the ecu, the maps will show very different values. You need to find one made for your ecu.

It's 06a906032HN software version :0002
I downloaded it from here.

It says in a later post that he's added a newer version, so maybe I need that? or are there better .xdf's out there?

Sorry, it's my first time and I know nothing about axis and so on. I'm assuming someone has done the hard work with these .xdf files so that a novice like me can just open a table and it's all pre defined and ready for editing.

Download the latest xdf in that thread, and give that a go.

Just got the latest .xdf and still the same. Do I also need a damos map pack or just the .xdf?
This is what I see in tunerpro.

That definitely not right. Damos/.KP files are used in WinOls not TunerPro.

All good, for some reason I got 0002, mine is 0001. Just confirmed, looks right now. Thanks for the confirmation earlier, sorry it went off topic, but atleast it saved me making another topic, asking more noob questions :P lol
