Title: I need some help. I'm out of ideas.
Post by: createddeleted on March 08, 2012, 11:38:06 PM
So I'm having some problems.

1.8t AWP stg3, Mafless, wideband ecu

-When ever I start getting into boost around 143 load @ 5000rpm my fuel just shuts off and slams to 1.991 request in the ecu. I saw this as an over boost condition, fixed all my load maps and fixed my boosting limits. I drove it and then it was still pretty much doing the same thing. Stopped, but a new safer timing map on and went out to drive the car again, however I really couldn't get on it on the "test track" as it was raining; i will log the safer map tomorrow. If all my fuel is in place where it should be and Im running 11.2 as spec requested but once I hit that boost point it lean spikes and misfires? (5 lbs of boost and higher or so)

-I am running EV14 550cc injectors with values much below spec and I'm still running rich in the low end even though my low end fueling tables are pretty much stock  / set to 1. I know, yet again, I need to relog for these. But if I understand correctly I will continue to lower values for running rich. Krkte = 0.057ish Tvub = 1.6 @ 8v and so on.  Should I be driving up the values in tvub for a rich condition?

-My fuel maps are set. Flamkrl, Properly set Kflbts, and then lamfa for high load enrichment. All requesting 11.2 AFR in full boost.
-All my boost related maps are set high enough.
-All my torque maps are set around 200 limit. Enough for 1.38 bar/20psi or so. The car is only running a maximum waste gate pressure of 14. The torque maps are also in spec of each other too.

Here are some of the maps I've changed/updated:
kfzwms
kfswkfzk
kfdzk
kfzw2
kfzw
temin
nwpmbbr
     kfmiop
kfmirl
kfzwop2
kfzwop
ldrxn
ldrxnzk
vwpmbbr
     kflafwl
tabgbts
fbstabgm
kflbts
kffdlbts
krkte
kvb
     kfmldmx
fpvmxn2
mlmax
kfdluls
dslofs
tvub
krkte
     tldoban
tlafa
kflamkrl
kflamkr
kfmds
cdkat

What am I missing? Being out of boost sucks  :-\

How's your KFMSNWDK?

The map is used to calculate intake manifold air flow over the throttle plate. If your values are stock, your ECU might be far undercalculating the amount of air coming in and going extremely lean. Once that doesn't jive with O2 output, you hit a brick wall.

Any recommendations? I compared it to the Mbox file here side by side. I have not touched my values, they're still stock.

I have some old ones, but I won't be logging until later today/tonight. I could probably get a quick one when I go to lunch. Anything specific I should log? Or timing/afr/load/psi?

I agree. I want my Maf back. I have my 1.8t sensor, an r32 Maf housing, and some 3" piping left. I'm waiting for my super tight 90 degree elbow 4"-3" reducer to get here as I need to use that as I have absolutely no room for an intake. My other couplers and my vibrant air filter are on order too. I figure its a lesson learned going mafless, because I know I need to put it back on. I can only imagine how much better the car would run with a maf. On a side note, since my setup is not set for a DV, how do I stop or recalculate for the air that the maf has already accounted for going back into the intake?

I hate to say this, but along similar lines, I have yet to see a motronic setup that runs better with no DV either.

IMO, if you really insist on deleting things like the MAF, n75, n249, etc. etc. just save yourself the trouble and go standalone.

I was planning on keeping everything else except for the dv. Looks like I'll have to come up with a way to route it to the intake.

More work to do. I don't know where/how I screwd this up. Ever seen 192 load called for all the time? Even at idle? I guess thats why I'm running super rich at a standstill. Sigh....  :-[

there are several types of load you can log and only one is the REAL load, rest are either requested (from driver) requested from ECU, requested corrected from ECU...

I believe bock 1 or 2 shows the actual load.
