Title: Help with gear detection please. Post by: marcellus on March 14, 2012, 12:11:01 PM I am having trouble finding these maps in both the XDF for the M-box and the CH (1.8t) box. I would like to bring the values from the CH box over so I can start logging gears also.
From the WIKI: "Gear detection The ecu computes the gear (gangi) from the quotient N/V out of nmot_w and vfzg_w. To find the current gear, the ecu uses for each possible gear a min and a max quotient to compare the actual N/v against. You have to update these quotients in order to map with the present gearbox/wheels. The thresholds are named NVQUOT1O (upper quotient for 1st gear), NVQUOT1U (lower quotient for 1st gear) up to NVQUOT6O, NVQUOT6U for 6th gear.
