Title: ME5 Immobilizer Post by: sean337 on March 15, 2012, 01:31:28 PM I have a MK3.5 Cabrio with 2.0 engine that I need to replace the ECU in. Already tried matching it into the car with VAG-COM but it requires login code. I read out 24C02 serial eprom from the original ECU and the used replacement ECU. Is anyone here familar with how to diasble the immobilizer in this ECU? Should I just swap the 24C02 eprom from the old ecu to the new?

037 906 018 A <-- this is used ECU replacement box code 037 906 018 C <-- this is original (failed) ECU box code So should I swap the small serial eproms around, or do I need to swap the main flash memory as well? For future reference, if I didn't have the old original ECU, how could I disable the IMMO within that eprom. I can post the dump from both box codes if needed. Thanks for the help everyone! You can either copy/paste immo stuff into new eeprom to avoid any possible issues with new ECU using different EEPROM regions for different things than older ECU or flip two bytes around to disable immo altogether and then hand modify checksums or run the file via the checksum calculator program I just posted yesterday in this forum. |
