Post by: Maddog82 on November 18, 2019, 08:19:12 AM hi all I have modified my stock file, and now I'm trying to write it, the problem I have is that when I opened my ECU to find the memory version, I found I have a Superchips chip, (it was mapped for stage 2 by the previous owner)

Other way is to replace that chip with the stock factory ic. If you post car, engine, year, someone can probably tell you the correct chip to order ;) Title: Re: writing failed ? superchip ! If you post car, engine, year, someone can probably tell you the correct chip to order ;) I don't doubt it's better, sadly no longer supports my engine mods lol ok so the car is a VW t4 with a loom, ECU engine from 2000 VW golf gti 1.8t 20v 750 cc injectors, fully forged, gt2860rs and all supporting mods. But assuming zero, according your question. My advice then would be not to make such a big change for first attempt. Chance of killing engine is big in my opinion by that way. Get an experienced tuner to help you. Lots of them here. Or start with Stage1 Software Mods only for that engine with ME7.5. Chip should be AM29F800B or AM29F800T. Don't know for sure. Guess is B. Guess is B. ok so, im a fully qualified 20 yr experienced mechanic, qualified engineer, and now studying a degreee in motorsport engineering. i work on ginetta g55 supercup cars, ginetta gt4 cars, and uk version of nascar, so mechanically im sound, data loggin using motec is my usual area. the chip is AM29f800B indeed. id welcome all and any help with actually tuning with this platform, i have been reading alot on here for a while now. regards luke Title: Re: writing failed ? superchip !
