Filesize is wrong.

Could it be that I am doing something wrong? I copied this file from my ecu and edited some values in tunerpro RT

How can you only have one bin file if you've made changes?  What did you make the changes to (that would be the original) and what addresses did you change (surely you've got a definition file?)...

Struggling to understand how you got 256kb too.

use neftmoto to read the ecu, that bin file use it in tunerpro RT with an XDF file that someone shared with my ecu code, save it and run checksum which threw me the same error that you describe

How do you not have an ori?

Where is the file somebody "shared" with you?

If they did not voluntarily, even posting their file is against forum rules.

No layout will give you 256kb though.
