Hi NefMoto,

To make life a bit easier for me when playing with instrument clusters and different dumps, scales, vehicles, I created two XDF files for Tuner Pro.

Everything I know so far about these clusters is defined, but feel free to add additional items.

Credits belong to the creators of those functions, I only gathered available information and pout it together in one file.

If anyone knows how the checksum for the speedometer scale and axis is calculated, please let me know. For now I only added it to the XDF when copying over a scale from another cluster.

This can be quite useful for VWK503HM users that want to alter their speedometer without getting "dEF." error because 503 clusters are not autocorrecting the checksum.

I was busy with this as well but it seems you beat me to the punch.

Added led sweep mod for 503. USE ONLY LED SWEEP SINCE IT CONTAINS NEEDLE SWEEP TOO

I have two small additions to this project. 0x21d to 0C will disable g266 oil level and temp sensor. Original value i had was 3B. 0x217 with value 2F will enable outside air temp sensor g17. Value 2B disables it. These with software version 503. With 501 software g17 sensor is 0X1E5. 503 addresses tested with 3B0 920 829 A

LED sweep on a 503 cluster should be used at a risk as it is buggy and contains NO FACTORY DATA in patch...and it was never made public by the author or developer...

On autos its normally in the bottom part of FIS screen if not use vcds and recode 19 can gateway dont change coding just hit do it and it should appear

I will try today. I have the "PRNDS" in the bottom part of FIS, but no current gear display in D or S mode, only when i switch to manual.
I saw that all MK4 R32 have that gear display activated.
My car is a MK4 Golf GTI 1.8T with DSG swap from MK6 Golf R20, maybe that's the problem, the TCU doesn't send that info to cluster.

I have bin file from this cluster R32.

There is an error in the XDFs for the K-Value Parameter; it doesn't allow you to input a value greater than 150 (and with this set to 150, the speedometer will basically be pegged as soon as you're moving)

I used it as a starting point and added a few additional parameters to the 501 version

I wish this worked properly for me. I've got a 3B0920847E VDO V08. It removes the G266 DTC from memory but it still beeps at me with the MFA warning active. I'm thinking of buying a oil sensor to make some sort of a emulator from it.

The file below is the original in case anyone wants to look at it.

I've also created these some 2 years ago and I've shared them on a facebook group back then. They have been going around ever since. Good to seeits still alive. The only function I'm still uncertain about is the reverse tank scaling to fit a Golf/Passat cluster in a T4. I've attached my most recent updated .XDF's. There's a little present in the 503MH version :-)

I also have some very basic mappacks for other clusters. Golf 5 and 6 are still under construction. Will share them when ready.

Just set the 4th number is the SW coding to 0 and you're fine. You can do it with VCDS. so for example if it is now 01111, set it to 01101 and you done.

Anybody got a XDF for a 1J0 919 VDO non CAN cluster (1J0 919 941 BX)? :)

FWIW there's a bug in these XDFs that prevents one from setting the K-value correctly, as the limits are set too low
