Title: MED17.5 Driving current limit
Post by: AngelPowy on January 14, 2020, 04:05:26 PM
Hi, I’m currently planning to buy 4 nostrum injector for my mk6 GTI car. I saw on nostrum website that they provide driving current profile. The first and the second step seem’s ok to adapt. But for the holding phase they ask for 3,5 to 4Amp current and the med17.5 configuration only provide choice between 1.9 to 2.5 amps. So my question is:
- Am I forced to disassemble this ECU to achieve the target current?
- Or is 2.5 amps enough?(I doubt they ask 3.5 to 4 amps for fun)
-Did I misunderstood how the configuration of HDEV works in med 17.5

If anyone have some clue.
Best Regards AngelPowy

Thank you for your answer. Our only solution is if disassembling this ecu can allow to increase current in holding phase..

Hey mr. pro disassembler, have you considered that the injector drivers on the ECU are just not rated for more current? That never occured to you? :P

I’m not a pro disassembler and far from this. I was just saying that disassembling may help’to achieve this. And if i’m not mistaken the ecu is giving that much current in phase 2. But phase 2 represent a short time considered as phase 3 I think. So there is any solution if I understand well?
