Title: BEX 1.8t stock file FIDC 100%, whats wrong?
Post by: heromanni on February 09, 2020, 08:08:24 AM
Hello, I began to work on my 1.8t bex and first of all I removed a crap readprotected tune file from the car (boosting 1.7bar+)

I flashed the car with 8E0909518AH ori file downloaded  from the forum, car works much better and power feels more or less the same.

Now I took some logs out of the car.

There Is a 3rd gear pull attached, There is some mystery as the desired and actual lambda is around 0.75 at max load, is that normal? The Lamfa map is 0.90 at the richest point on stock file, looks like the EGT BTS kicks in hard, is this normal for a stock file? I quess not. Is there some possible hardware issues? As the lambda is so rich, the FIDC is 100% on the pull.

This is one of my first logs and maybe I have not included all necessary data. Should I add something?

Yes that is normal on that file. BTS kick too soon beacuse aggressive ignition. And PID is shit on that file, you can see by yourself by desired and actual boost.

Is The reason for slow boost increase because of bad turbo or is the PID actually wrong? It would mean this is not stock file, is it?

To specify, the HW is stock and plan is to use stock SW for reference

Indeed That file is not stock, Would have thought that BEX had such power from factory.

Anyway, I found another file that SHOULD be stock, I did some logs quickly on a smaller road on 3rd gear up to 4000rpm, Still there is some deviation on boost actual vs desired. Any idea why? Is this normal behaviour for used turbo?

Maximum air flow is 92 g/s?

Please include throttle plate angle and pedal position so you can use ecuxplot.

Hello, Now managed to go for highway for  a better log file.

I added throtthe plate angle wdkba and pedal position wped, forgot to include calculated egt but the tagbts kick in at 4krpm.  At 5600rpm the lamfa table is no longer in use, something kicks in? Is there also too aggressive timing on this file?

Is there a way to get ecuxplot to work on win7 32bit? looks like jre 9 is not supported by 32bit system.

Unfortunately not. Maybe can use an older version of ecuxplot.

You're not anywhere near 100%, you're at 50%

That said, you did trigger BTS.

Might want to log EGT

BEX has no EGT sensor.

BEX has no EGT sensor.

Does it have modeled EGT?

Does it have modeled EGT?

Yes, like every ME7.
