Title: flashing different software versions
Post by: airtite on February 12, 2020, 10:38:27 PM
Just need some confirmation.

Is it possible to go from 4D1907558B to 4D1907558F for example?

Reading Version Strings...
-> Bootrom Version = 06.02
-> EPK = 42/1/ME7.1.1/5/8542.05//25C/Dst01o/160403//
-> Contents of ECUID data table:
   - '0261208051'         (SSECUHN)
   - '1037368087'         (SSECUSN)
   - '4D1907558B  '       (VAG part number)
   - '0002'               (VAG sw number)
   - '4.2l V8/5VT    '    (engine id)
-> Contents of ECUID data table:
   - 'HW_MAN004'

and flash

so the flash went fine no errors but the car wont start with the above, so in this example I was not able to go from B - F versions.

You must put EEPROM file from that ECU you flashed.
Or try to put virgin EEPROM file

You should also flash the VIN SKC EEP FROM ONE TO ANOTHER DEVICE
