Title: cross flashing 551AA ecu Post by: dilly on February 17, 2020, 08:43:59 PM i understand both the s4 and the 4Z7-907-551-AA ecu are me7.1.1
would flashing a m-box file on the 551AA ecu work? or are there different properties to each ecu that will cause issues? i recall on a thread that someone mentioned that all 2.7 me7.1.1 flashes will work on any of the 2.7 7.1.1 ecu's anyone care to elaborate? thanks Title: Re: cross flashing 551AA ecu Post by: nyet on February 17, 2020, 09:15:37 PM i understand both the s4 and the 4Z7-907-551-AA ecu are me7.1.1 What? Who said S4s are me7.1.1?http://files.s4wiki.com/stock/part-numbers.txt Title: Re: cross flashing 551AA ecu Post by: dilly on February 18, 2020, 12:35:28 AM What? Depends what you mean by crossflash By vehicle: RS4 and S4 have differences (cam position sensor, intake flap), 512k vs 1024k won't crossflash, Bosch/Hitachi MAFs require different MAF maps, there are eeprom coding restrictions for some combinations, there are CANBUS differences for some combinations. By ECU: All 2.7t ME7.1 ECUs are physically the same except for 512k vs 1024k issues. I’m aware of the rs4 info Also the maf differences. purpose of this is I have a riser chipped an a box and don’t want to boot mode every time I make a change. Was looking for a cheaper alternative instead of the price markup for the m box and other a boxes |
