Title: No access, no start, AUQ ME7.5 Post by: JustGav on February 25, 2020, 06:49:44 AM So, strange one for me and currently stuck at work.
Drove to the post office in the car, all was well, locked the car, came back and the car turns over but doesn't fire. Plugged the laptop in, and neither vagcom nor ME7flasher will see the ECU. I've checked fuse 10 and 32, and they are good, but I have no access to the ECU in any kind. Any suggestions, would like to head home tonight :P Title: Re: No access, no start, AUG ME7.5 Post by: JustGav on February 25, 2020, 06:53:34 AM Apologies AUQ
Title: Re: No access, no start, AUG ME7.5 Post by: JustGav on February 25, 2020, 07:06:14 AM Not sure if I have, and pretty sure I didn't, but if I have flashed it with the wrong file, ie the right one for the ECU but not checksummed, would that prevent access to ECU from OBD?
Title: Re: No access, no start, AUG ME7.5 Post by: IamwhoIam on February 25, 2020, 07:10:05 AM LOL of course if you flash a non-checksummed file, the car will only start once and then it'll be dead. And yes, the ECU won't respond anymore through OBD in a case like this. Have you read any of the FAQs before going and "having a go" at this at all?
Title: Re: No access, no start, AUG ME7.5 Post by: JustGav on February 25, 2020, 07:19:19 AM Not the first time I've flashed it, and done it a few times, mistakes do happen you know, I'm pretty damn sure I checksummed it, but doubting myself as to what could have happened. It drove fine this morning and then up to the post office and just stopped.....
And YES, I have read the FAQ, cheers for the useful hint Title: Re: No access, no start, AUG ME7.5 Post by: JustGav on February 25, 2020, 08:19:31 AM Little note for others if they get stuck... unplug the battery for a couple of minutes, and then re-upload a checksummed file... I think it was a user error^H^H^H^H^Hstupidity
Definitely a dumbshit moment, I keep my files in two separate folders, one for the tunerpro files that I've saved, and then I checksum into a different folder... I must have clicked the non chksummed one. Title: Re: No access, no start, AUQ ME7.5 Post by: fknbrkn on February 25, 2020, 09:30:32 AM http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=16450.0

Disconnecting the battery for 5 mins did the job, allows you to get the ecu back online again, and I reflashed with a good file again.
