Post by: nautica on April 01, 2012, 11:35:58 AM
Hi, I need help. Today I have try to read bin from a car but galletto stuck to "Start data reading..." and nothing happens. Before that I have used it many times and worked well. Any ideas?

car was a mk4 ? aftermarked headunit? maybe it will work if you pull the dash and radio fuse.

worked for me with a S3

Here is what I've noticed.

If the ecu gives you a second prompt about tension being 13v after you hit connect, you're not connected. If you do nothing to rectify that and click OK it'll hang up on start data reading. When I get that warning, I just close it out and try connecting again.

FWIW, I've never been able to get galletto to work in the car. Bootmode on the other hand (on the bench) works every time.

You will never be able to read/write ME7.5 with galletto without boot mode active (puttin pin 24 of 29F400BB chip at ground).
I have same ECU and i can tell you that i`ve tried all possible things.

May also happen with too high voltage.

With 13volts, Galetto (the eBah one) mostly didnt work proper..

My old galetto worked like a charm in these ECUs... never had to pull any fuse, except in one 2,4 VR6 Golf 2003

galleto is not able to read ecu without boot mode active.
If you want to read it on car, remove dashboard fuse before try anything.
