Title: request: bin for 04 b5.5 passat 1.8t awm with 4B0906018DP 0261208291 cal. Post by: 1mouse3 on March 22, 2020, 01:45:29 PM Hi I have a 04 b5.5 passat with a 1.8t awm auto and 8E0909018A ecu with 4B0906018DP 0261208291 calibration (may be missreading which is whitch there is also 1037369320). I dont have a means to get bin off the car so am looking fo one, did find two in a search. First matches my numbers but sure is for a auto and second is not so dont think can use, but this the bin Im dealing with. Would I be able to use ether of these or dose anyone have one I can use?

Post by: _nameless on March 23, 2020, 06:53:45 AM any 03-05 passat b5.5 files will work and you can flash threw port. this ecu has variant coding for auto manual, reflashing the software wont change that in this one. in other cases, b5s4, early b5 1.8t, mk4 all (aside from tdi) have a auto and a manual software version but yours has both. dont use a software version from 01-02 youll end up with a bricked ecu. also if i recall correctly one of the 018dp versions from the factory are fucked up. i cant recall what version tho.
also fwiw youll wanna get yourself setup with a bootmode setup because youre playing with fire. if you brick your ecu threw the port your car will no longer run and youll be without a car. a spare ecu and knowing how to recover a bricked ecu is a must. its not a matter of when youll brick it not if. js Title: Re: request: bin for 04 b5.5 passat 1.8t awm with 4B0906018DP 0261208291 cal. I did find out can use the cable I have with galletto and was able to put it in boot mode where I got the bin off it, it matched the questeniable one. Thanks
