Title: TVUB of BAM 386 injectors @ 4bar (0 280 156 063)
Post by: Lechuga on March 26, 2020, 03:35:54 AM
Could someone share the TVUB values for BAM 386 injectors @ 4 bar? I have been working on them but because of the 100% lockdown I cannot test them.
These are my 4bar "calculated" figures
 7.9952     9.9968     11.9680     14.0096     15.9808
1.8043   1.1799   0.8400   0.6189   0.4587

Am I far off? Any input would be much appreciated

Multiply original TVUB by 1,15.

Thanks! I was still quite far off

copy FKKVS(and axis) from TT file, these injectors are not linear

This is my (stock) FKKVS. Taken from the 18CB 0003 bin

Thank you, I read it before and re-read it just now. I have KRKTE and TEMIN under control. Car idle is very slightly off and when driving on low load it judders ever so slightly; which is why I was asking about TVUB. I know it cannot be calculated.

Multiply original TVUB by 1,15.
No TVUB to multiply, but divised krkte by 1,15 for 4,0 bar

The timing correction injector is related to the P delta, not the isolated gasoline pressure, you have several approaches, or you regulate it mechanically with a pressure regulator enslaved to the collector pressure, in which case you don't need to manage it in software, or very little.

Either you make an algorithm that inputs:
-Pressure ramp injection
-Pressure intake
-TUVB
The goal is simple, to guarantee a controlled and manageable delta P.

What impacts the unit flow of your injector is not the input pressure, it is the difference in pressure between the input and the output.

Example:
If you apply 10b in a ramp and spit in a 5b collector, it's like applying 5b in ramp and spitting in the atmosphere.
10b -5b = 5b
5b - 0b = 5b,
the flow is 100% the same.

As a reminder TVUB has nothing to do with pressure, but, with tension.
In multi-point injection, it's ultra easy to understand, you have overall 3 parameters of entry
-1 battery voltage
-2 TEMIN
-3 The Delta P

So, battery voltage and deltaP being the same, extrapolate the variation between the original TEMIN and the new TEMIN to adjust TVUB? I've tried this yesterday and the car runs much smoother. Maybe by chance, but my calculation would seem to agree with your explanation. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks

TVUB is supplied by the injector manufacturer and is strictly linked to the battery voltage strictly.

TEMIN yes, the important thing is to keep your regul in slow motion for example, if your TEMIN is too high, your injos cannot open less long than TEMIN.
So if the setup requires 0.5ms and you have TEMIN at 0.8ms, then you will only have 0.8ms

It is therefore necessary to adjust TEMIN TUVB and KRKTE which is linked to the fuel system pressure
