Title: Audi A4 B5 cluster swap VCDS: Channel 50 not available Post by: poolpo on March 29, 2020, 02:38:50 PM Hey there
I am having an issue with a cluster swap on my Audi A4 B5 MY 2000. I was having issues with the original cluster (known problem of lights going on/off, needles going up/down...). I decided to buy a new cluster off ebay. I managed to pull the pins for both the old and new cluster with VAGTacho. I then tried to use VCDS to do the swap but when I try to put in the original Immo PIN into the replacement cluster through 21-Adaptation, I am getting an "Error Channel 50 not available" whch prevents me from completing the swap. FYI, the engine starts and runs fine with the original cluster but when the replacement cluster, the immobilizer light flashes. Would you know what I am doing wrong? in the following post, the Autoscan of the original and replacement clusters. As well, the measuring blocks for the orginal+replacement clusters. I was convinced my cluster was Immo3 but apparently not. So after following Immo2 steps, everything works well. Problem solved.
