Title: VW Passat VDO Dash problem
Post by: nicktruman on April 16, 2020, 06:47:23 AM
hi everyone.
i have fitted a 2002 20v 1.8t VW Passat engine and transaxle mid-mounted in my 1978 Triumph Spitfire, the engine now sits where the differential used to sit, thanks to this site we have disabled the immobilizer and are currently getting rid of the airpump, evap, 2nd o2 sensor etc..
I have used a immo3 VDO dash from a Passat for its gauges, and i have a problem. the dash is looking for the abs and is throwing a wobbly. The digital display shows a huge red STOP and i can't get rid of it.

any ideas how I can code out the abs and other modules that my car doesn't have?

If you want to remove it completely, go into CAN Gateway and subtract 00002 with VCDS

If you want to remove airbags also remove 00004

Thank you Cessnas
are these recode options documented anywhere so I can remove all the rest of the audi stuff... just want to leave engine ECU, dash and sensors

Pretty sure you can only remove ABS and Airbag on the 3BG chassis from the gateway module.
You can check ross tech's website for more info about coding the gateway module
