Title: Cloned ECU EEprom Post by: VwGuy1010 on April 29, 2020, 05:45:24 AM So. I recently made a bench harness. I read my OEM EEPROM through the obd2 port, using me7_95040, which worked great. I also added a boot mode switch. I then flashed my spare ECU and made a clone. The clone has been working great, but now I have an issue that is bugging me. I can't seem to read the clone ecu's eeprom through OBD. I don't really need to read it as its working fine and I have the file. I would just like to understand why. I get an error code of 0x01, communication failed, port opens fine. I can read and write with nefmoto just fine.

Title: Re: Cloned ECU EEprom Post by: VwGuy1010 on April 29, 2020, 01:18:36 PM I just tried some other cars, including mine with the OEM ECU, and it worked flawlessly. I think I can rule out obd cable and back. It doesn't really bother me that much. I was just curious if anyone had similar issues.
