Title: Wrong offsets in stock bin
Post by: Saviorange on September 17, 2020, 06:04:10 PM
So I have a 03 gti 1.8t, i went into the krkte and saw that there we're two options, one that calculated in "_ms/%" and the other one has an input of "_cc/min". What I found weird is that the second one had a number of "38121568cc/min" are those values normal? Along with the weird offsets in kfzwop, my tvub is also not linear. I'm not sure what's up with all of that. Im trying to add crackle pop but with everything being weird with values I don't want to touch it until I figure out why its like that. Thanks for the help. Are those values normal?

And why are you using that one? Do you have a 2.7t? If so, what P/N?

Hint: unless you swapped your POS 1.8t for a 2.7t ..

What? Am I dumb for not being able to understand a quote? I'm trying to learn but doesn't look like y'all want to help. I guess they were right about "the forums" I guess.

What Marty wrote is the address of the map (The numbers after the $) and what it means. You mentioned KRKTE and TVUB. Also 1X1 and 5X1 are the map sizes. It is really important that you try to compare with the same software as your ECU or at least a similar one and pay attention.

ok. I use tunerpro so i dont have to look addresses like those what he mentioned i only have to look for the pointers and modify them individually, not sure if you're familar with the program or not. So what should KRKTE should be on stock software? I don't think the input of "38121568cc/min" is correct as it shows that's whats in it.

Why did you ignore my question about 1.8t vs 2.7t and the P/N of your ECU?

What is this saying?

He's literally telling you where in the bin the maps you are looking for are.

Didn't see your question sorry. I have a 1.8t.

The xdf is: 8D0907551M-20190711.

Why would that xdf work with your ECU?

You still haven't answered the other question.

What is the P/N of your ECU? Why would you think an ecu for 1.8t is even remotely similar to a 2.7t?

Youre dumb because you didnt read the stickies, you didnt use the right map pack for your file. I mean for christ sakes IT SAYS FUCKING S4 WIKI AS THE NAME!! Why in the fuck would you think a twin turbo v6 has the same map sets as a 4 cylinder? Your efforts are lazy, your wasting forum space with a garbage thread that all the questions you asked could have been answered if you followed the rules and did some reading on your own. Btw tvub and krkte literally have nothing to do with gargle pop. Also of you looked around youd see that 4 or so full threads about gargle pop exist. I've been on this forum for 6 years or so and this forum gets 3-10 posts just like this a week. Help yourself before you look for handouts. Also 8f you dont like 8t here dont let the door hit you on the way out. Trust me none cars about what you have to think about "the forums" go back to facebook groups lmao they have all the info.

Nah I came on here to learn and ask questions. What’s a forum is all about. I’ve looked at other people’s posts and can’t find one that’ll help me because they don’t have the same problems that I do. Sorry for using the getting started guide and getting tunerpro instead so I don’t have to do reverse engendering to modify the assembly code that way? My fault right? Also that’s how I got the definition file. I guess you got your hostility from a tutorial too because no way your parents taught you to act like that.

1) Where else but tuner pro can you use an xdf
2) tuner pro has nothing to do with modifying assembly
3) there are literally thousands of definition files, not just one.
