Post by: xxx8indxxx on April 21, 2012, 04:42:42 PM ok i have a aeb 558m ecu i zero,ed out 07cd1 and 07cd0 to disable the codeword for lambda sensor heating it says cdhsv=0 no diagnosis but i still get the 1196 and 1198 dtc oxygen sensor heater circuit malfunction am i disabling the wrong dtc or just not changing all the locations in the file ?

You'll have to zero out also error classes. BUT if this DTC forces ecu into soft limp then you're out of luck, because zeroeing out error class doesn't remove it's effects only DTC itselft ;) Title: Re: what am i doing wrong? Title: Re: what am i doing wrong? Post by: ricekikr on April 21, 2012, 07:11:21 PM That's because 7CD1 and 7CD0 are map addresses for me3.8.2 (clemens file), they will be in a different address on m5.9.2.
Try this addresses, 77C5 and 77C4. I "think" this are the addresses that correspond to the 7CD1 and 7CD0. 77C5 (5.9.2) has a value of 01 = 7CD1 (3.8.2) has 00. 77C4 (5.9.2) and 7CD0 (3.8.2) both have 01 values. **** Please use this addresses with caution, I haven't tried them, mainly because my CEL light is unplugged lol **** BUT if this DTC forces ecu into soft limp then you're out of luck, because zeroeing out error class doesn't remove it's effects only DTC itselft ;) In my AEB (557P and 557N) unplugging both o2 sensors would only zero out fuel trims, no change to fuel or ignition timing. Forgot to mention that I'm using a 577P (m5.9.2) file, values are "01" for both addresses. Your 558M might also have different map addresses. Title: Re: what am i doing wrong? I'm using the 1997 577P file from here: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1579.0;attach=2321 With your 558M file, I couldn't find the address that resembles the lambda cel in the 3.8.2. *Does your 558M have a speed limiter? Did you try flashing it off the car. (ie. plugged directly to the MPPS and an external 12v source). If that doesn't work, either your ecu is busted or your MPPS is old or doesn't work right. Mine writes just fine using MPPS v12 via obd. Currently using a 557N ECU with a 557P file written on it. So far so good @30psi/8000rpm. Title: Re: what am i doing wrong? Look at the 3.8.2 file again, the one in German (the one you translated). List all the lambda diagnostics, lamp etc etc. Basically you need to read and translate all diagnostics and lamp, and figure out which are for the o2/lambda probe. But if you read the s4 wiki, there's more to disabling lambda DTC. 783C / E / 40 / 42 - No exact match that has the same exact combination of values. Removing 783C makes the values too common (00 FF 00 FF 00) 7A10 / 11 / 12 / 13 - values too common (all values 14) 7A57 / 58 / 59 / 5A - also too common (all values 14) Stopped here. Post by: xxx8indxxx on April 26, 2012, 05:07:17 AM i appreciate that you even gave it some of your time i will eventually figure it out i compared may files in the last week but the offset is what messes it up all aeb files are close i guess when i figure out the offset i can find the location to disable if this was m7 i could read the file from my car before and after it came on and find its location but i have a wonderful aeb lol

77C4 and 77C5 - is for: 17604 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heater Circuit: B1 S1: Electrical Malfunction 17606 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heater Circuit: B1 S2: Electrical Malfunction -------- It doesn't remove these codes, so removing the sensor will still definitely give you a code for the ff: 16518 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: No Activity P0134 - 35-00 - - 16524 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S2: No Activity P0140 - 35-00 - - Title: Re: what am i doing wrong? Post by: xxx8indxxx on May 24, 2012, 05:23:34 AM i still leave mine pluged in the codes you have are for the oxygen sensor signal you need to leave them plugged in the codes i disabled are for the 02 heaters not the signal for the 02 ill look for the location to disable the bank 2 o2 sensor signal dtc to disable it you need the bank one sensor i beleieve that one is important
